From 1918. Made in New York City.
I grew up in Wisconsin and bought my first fiddle from a friend there in 1980. I have been playing folk and baroque music ever since. I started by learning Irish and Old-time music. Now I mostly play Scandinavian music and sing. I learned woodworking from my father and have been building and repairing instruments for the past 35 years.
Opening this store has been my dream for many years. In 2017 I finally took the plunge. I hope you will come in and try the huge variety of acoustic folk, ethnic and baroque instruments. When was the last time you played a Kazakh Dombra or Viola da Gamba? I love teaching music lessons, talking to people about music and instruments, and also encouraging new musical directions. I will take instruments on consignment and also love repairing instruments so get those treasures out of the closet and come on in!
