DESCRIPTION:Concert: 7 Decades \nFeaturing musicians Kaila Flexer (violin\, tarhui)\, Gari Hegedus (oud\, saz and tarhu) and Elana Brutman (cretan lyra with sympathetic strings)\nKaila writes- My parents\, Abe and Bobbie\, met in their 6th grade classroom at Scranton Elementary\, New Haven\, CN. Abe and Bobbie are now 83 and have been together for over 7 Decades and are still madly in love! Their relationship is completely egalitarian. They are also two of the kindest and most generous people I know.  Over the years\, I’ve written them many compositions for their milestone birthdays\, anniversaries and more recently pieces about my Mom’s diagnosis (2 years ago) and treatment of Grey Zone Lymphoma. \nI have been honing these pieces and began collaborating on arranging them with Gari Hegedus and Elana Brutman in the last several months. We are going to record 7 Decades in tribute to my parents and we’re doing a series of local concerts before going into the studio.
